The short version
If you only read one section, read this one. The rest of the document is the detail behind it.
- This website sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising pixels.
- If you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email and whatever the booking form asks. To open the Exit Assistant you give us your first name and email address, and those go to HubSpot, our customer relationship manager. The tool is free — there is nothing to pay and no card involved.
- If you use the Exit Assistant, everything you type into it is recorded and stored, including the financial details you give it, and we keep it indefinitely. Your conversation is also sent to Anthropic, in the United States, to generate the responses.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email zacmanken@gmail.com.
Who we are
Zac Manken Pty Ltd (ABN 96 689 511 920) trades as Traverse and operates www.traversewealth.com.au and app.traversewealth.com.au. In this document, "we", "us" and "Traverse" mean that entity. "You" means anyone who visits either site, books a call, or uses the Exit Assistant.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy describes how we meet those obligations.
What we collect, and when
When you visit the website
Nothing you have to give us. We do not run analytics, we do not set tracking or advertising cookies, and there are no third-party pixels on these pages.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard server logs for security and to keep the site up — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use those only to diagnose faults and defend against abuse.
Your browser stores a theme preference locally (whether you chose light or dark, and which palette). That never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and identifies nobody. Clearing your site data removes it.
When you book a discovery call
Booking is handled by Calendly. You give Calendly your name, email address and any other details their booking form asks for, and it passes those to us so we can hold the call. Calendly is a United States provider operating under its own privacy policy.
We also keep whatever notes we make about the call, so that a later conversation does not start from nothing.
When you get access to the Exit Assistant
The Exit Assistant is free. To open it you give us your first name and email address on the form at traversewealth.com.au/exit-assistant, and that is the whole of what we ask for.
Those two details go to two places. They are sent to HubSpot, the customer relationship manager we use to keep track of who we are talking to and to send email — HubSpot is a United States provider operating under its own privacy policy. A copy is also stored in our own database on Cloudflare, recorded against the access pass that lets your browser back into the tool.
We keep both for as long as we are in touch with you. Ask us to delete them and we will, subject to the exceptions further down this page.
If you bought the Exit Assistant before 25 August 2026, when it cost $49: payment was processed by Stripe, you gave Stripe your card details directly, and we never saw, handled or stored your card number. Stripe told us your name, email address, the amount, the country and whether the payment succeeded. We keep those transaction records for as long as Australian tax and corporations law requires, which is generally at least five years. No new payments are taken anywhere on this site.
When you use the Exit Assistant
This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is the most personal information we hold.
The Exit Assistant records your conversation in full and keeps it indefinitely.
Every message you send is stored verbatim in our database, along with the answers the tool extracts from them — including your income, your business structure, your assets, your residency position and your plans. There is currently no automatic deletion after any period.
Do not type anything into it that you would not want stored. If you want your conversation deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
We store it for two reasons. The first is so that the tool can hold the thread of a conversation and produce your summary at the end. The second is so we can see how the tool performs in aggregate — where people get stuck, which questions are unclear, which situations come up most often — and improve it.
Your conversation is sent to Anthropic, in the United States, which provides the AI model that generates the responses. It is processed there to produce your answers.
We do not sell this information. We do not disclose it to any other client, adviser or third party except as set out under "Who else sees your information" below.
When you email us or subscribe
If you email us, we keep the email and your address so we can reply and refer back to it.
When you give us your name and email — to open the Exit Assistant, or on any other form we run — we store them in HubSpot and we may send you marketing email. We only send it to people who gave us their address, every message carries a working unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly, as the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) requires. Unsubscribing does not close your access to the Exit Assistant, and it does not affect anything you have bought.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- hold the discovery call you booked, and follow up on it;
- give you access to the Exit Assistant and generate your summary;
- keep the records the law requires us to keep, including of past sales;
- answer your questions and provide support;
- understand how the tool is used in aggregate, so it gets better at answering the questions people actually have;
- send you marketing, where you have asked for it and until you tell us to stop;
- meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you. The Exit Assistant produces information and suggestions; it does not decide anything about you.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the business. Each sees only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy obligations:
- Cloudflare — hosting, security and the database that stores Exit Assistant conversations.
- Anthropic — the AI model that generates Exit Assistant responses. Your conversation is processed by it.
- HubSpot — our customer relationship manager. It holds the name and email address you give us to open the Exit Assistant, and it is what we send marketing email from.
- Calendly — call bookings.
- Stripe — payment processing for purchases made before 25 August 2026. No new payments are taken.
- Our email provider — sending individual and transactional email.
We will also disclose personal information where:
- you ask us to, or clearly consent to it;
- it is required or authorised by Australian law, a court, or a regulator;
- it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety;
- the business is sold or restructured — in which case it passes to the new owner on the same terms as this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
Information sent overseas
Australian Privacy Principle 8 requires us to tell you when your information goes offshore. It does. Cloudflare, Anthropic, HubSpot, Calendly and Stripe are all United States providers, and their infrastructure may store or process data in the United States and other countries.
That means your information may be handled outside Australia, under laws that differ from Australian privacy law, and it may be accessible to overseas authorities under those laws. We take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate protections, but we cannot guarantee an overseas recipient will handle your information the way an Australian entity would. By using the Exit Assistant you accept that your conversation is processed overseas.
How long we keep things
- Exit Assistant conversations — indefinitely. There is currently no automatic deletion. Ask us and we will delete yours.
- Payment and transaction records — at least five years, as Australian tax law requires.
- Call bookings and notes — while there is a reasonable prospect of us working together, then a reasonable period afterwards.
- Email correspondence — while it is useful to have a record, then deleted.
- Mailing list details — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Server logs — kept short-term by our host.
How we protect it
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere), and we limit who can reach the data to those who need it. Payment card details never reach our systems at all.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is safe from interception. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy (Australian Privacy Principle 12).
- Correct it if it is wrong, out of date, incomplete or misleading (Australian Privacy Principle 13).
- Delete it, including your Exit Assistant conversation, unless we are legally required to keep it — payment records being the main example.
- Stop sending you marketing, at any time.
Email zacmanken@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are first, so that we do not hand your financial details to someone else. There is no charge for asking; if a request is unusually large we may charge a reasonable cost for supplying it, and we will tell you before we do.
If we refuse access or correction, we will tell you why in writing and how to complain about it.
If you are in the EU or the UK
Our audience is Australians, many of whom read this from elsewhere. If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Where we rely on a lawful basis, it is your consent, the performance of our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in running and improving the service. Use the same contact address, and you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
Nothing we do is directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email zacmanken@gmail.com with the detail. We will acknowledge it, investigate, and respond in writing within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au, by phone on 1300 363 992, or by writing to GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. The current version always sits at this address, with the date it was last changed at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will take reasonable steps to tell you rather than rely on you noticing.
